Old San Jose Marquis Halback, Inc. was hired on this project as the Landscape Architect and Urban Designers. MHI's primary role included urban design and streetscape design for the varying conditions throughout the site. The driving concept was to promote each housing style as its own urban condition. The plan included traditional town homes, row homes, flats, and multi-level villas all with underground parking. The Master plan also included the Grand Plaza with a clubhouse tucked under the lawn, a pool and promenade, all over looking the St. Johns River. Each streetscape condition used the housing style, plant palette and hardscape materials to establish a specific set of characteristics within a larger, common theme which ties the project together as a cohesive neighborhood. |
