Palencia Residence By working closely with the homeowners, Marquis Halback, Inc. created a private retreat along a pine flatwood in Palencia, a master planned community north of St. Augustine. An outdoor kitchen, flagstone dining patio, and brick fireplace are surrounded with native grasses and river birches. These line the pondless creek that runs along the flagstone patio, providing a calming sight and sound to the homeowners and their guests. The integration of the landscape into the adjacent preserve was important to MHI, and the resulting design blends the two seamlessly. This project was featured in WatersEdge magazine in February 2008. |
