Alternate 2 - Four Lanes (with a median)

This concept retains the current organization of two south bound and two north bound lanes, but it reduces all lane widths to 10’-0”, which will require FDOT approval. By reducing lane widths, it helps to discourage traffic from speeding along the Avenida Menendez straight-away, and the lane widths are consistent along the entire corridor. Currently, the lanes skinny from 12’-1” along Avenida Menendez to an average of 9’-11” adjacent to the VIC.
