Honoring the Great Continent

Frederick Halback* was responsible for the site development and landscape architectural theme of this animal habitat at Disney’s most unique resort hotel. The 1300 room hotel affords the guest an immersed experience in the Great Continent. Animal habitat and viewing locations, rockwork, themed landscape and spring pools are carefully detailed. As an original member of the cast, the landscape architect was involved in all aspects of the site’s creation.
