Improving Visitor Connections

In preparation for the 450th anniversary of the Nation’s Oldest City, and funded by the Paul S. Sarbanes Transit in Parks Grant, Marquis Latimer + Halback, Inc. is providing planning and design services to improve the visitor connections to the historic Castillo de San Marcos, downtown, and bayfront. Leading an unprecedented public participation program, including public meetings, surveys, and a heavily visited project website, a multi-phased implementation strategy has been developed. Thorough consensus building and coordination with the City, FDOT, FTA, and the National Park Service has resulted in continued grant support for the planning and implementation.
