Project Description & Challenge

Fish Island Plantation will be built around an archaeological site near historic downtown St. Augustine. Marquis Latimer + Halback, Inc. worked extensively on the master planning, governmental approval process, landscape architecture, and place making for the project. The project includes 177 townhomes, 38 estate lots, an archaeological park, 100 slip community boat dock, and neighborhood retail center.

Solution

Successful in obtaining full vested entitlements for development, the landscape architects’ efforts to protect large areas of wetlands, trees, and archeological remains help to create a community that is nestled within its surroundings.
