Andrew Castanheira has a passion for sensory experience within the landscape and how it affects culture. With thoughtful design the public realm is a place that engages the user, builds identity, and connects people. Andrew is currently exploring this research at the University of Florida.
As an active member of his community, Andrew has applied these principles to the design and build of a community garden, reading garden, and school playground.
Andrew also works in collaboration with the Future Landscape Architects of America to increase awareness of the profession of landscape architecture and has taught lessons
at five North Florida public schools.
