Project Description + Challenge

Experience Centuries of St. Augustine

M L + H worked for nearly two years with Pat Croce & Company and the University of Florida to transform approximately 2 acres of downtown St. Augustine into an interpretive, immersive environment that tells the story of the Nation’s Oldest City. ADA-accessible coquina pathways pass through period-specific gardens, while custom lighting, fencing, and buffers help guide visitors through each century. ML+H provided full master planning through construction observation for this unique project.

Our Solution

Four quadrants transport visitors from the founding of St. Augustine in the 16th century to the 18th century British period, when Florida was the ‘14th Colony’. Themed restaurants, taverns, retail, and entertainment venues provide an immersive and educational experience.
